Instructions for the HDMA Extended

Complimentary with the DC Interview Kit


Step 1: Log In
You should have registered when you purchased the HDMA. If you are not registered, click on the registration link under the “Log In” button.




















Step 2: Take the assessment
Answer all the questions by filling the values between 0 and 9. The lower the number, the lower the need. The higher the number, the stronger the need. Click the submit button to continue the process.
Note: To do this program your browser needs a flash player plug in installed


















Step 3: View your personal results
If you log out then log back in, you will get a menu that asks you what you want to do





If this is the case, then choose “See the Graphic Results” If you are satisfied that this is correct, then continue to the next page set and invite colleagues

The Invite Colleagues screen will appear
You will need to choose what type of Colleagues you wish to invite: Subordinates, Peers or Superiors.

Select your people, subordinates, peers and superiors to assist you, fill in the “name” followed by a comma, then the email address.

If you are sending more than one invitation (RECOMMENDED), then include a semi-colon “;” at the end of each name and address

Example:

  • john,john@xsl.net;
  • dev,dev23@der.com;
  • germ,germous@google.com
Notice: do not use a semi-colon ";" at the end of last invitee.
Note: Try to invite at least 3 people for EACH category to get more accurate results

You can check the emails you sent and where your invitees have completed their Evaluations of you. If your invitees are slow in responding, you can remind them by click on ‘Send Reminder’ button.

When the people you have invited have already assed you. You are ready to discover the gaps and how these gaps are affecting your abilities to manage and effectively work with the people around you. Go to “Consolidated Results” to see you Environment Gaps (gaps within only one environment: for example PEERS), or your

Universal Gaps (gaps across all environments: Peers, Subordinates, and Superiors).

To find out what it means and what you can do about it. You must go to the “Perception Gap Results” area. Here you will find specific areas highlighted – click on these areas and follow the directions.
The system is a LIVE system
As long as you continue to request feedback from your Peers, Superiors, and Subordinates, you will constantly be getting updated information. To get the most out of the HDMA reset your invitees score every month or two so you can see your progress in closing your perception gaps.
